Acupuncture

  Seven months ago, my legs were hurt and lost consciousness, I couldn’t stand up. The modern medicine couldn’t help me get better as soon as possible, so my doctor decided to use traditional Chinese medicine. When I heard that he would use acupuncture therapy, I was scared to death, but I couldn’t refuse, because I didn’t want to be a disabled people. At first the doctor let me lie still and took out many needles. Then he put the needles into my legs’ critical points and touched these needle’s top in order to keep these needles stood in my skin. Next, my legs were full of the needle, so I couldn’t move my body. An hour later, he took the needles out. After that, he treated my legs with acupuncture once a day. Surprisingly, about one month after, my legs regained consciousness.

In fact, acupuncture isn’t a scared medicine, if the doctor a professional one who can find critical points in the human body, you just feel a litter bit pain when the needles into your body. I know acupuncture can cure many illnesses, such as cerebral palsy, cervical spondylotic myelopathy and catch cold, But I still don’t like, if I was sick, I prefer stay at home, take medicine, sleep and drink hot water or ginger tea. Actually, I think we’d better do more excises and keep warm to stay heath.

Notting Hill

Notting Hill, What a romantic and touching story! I was attracted by the interesting plot. I really like this story, because it told me, “Nothing is impossible.” 

“You know…being famous. I’m also just a girl. Standing in front of boy. Asking him to love her,”Anna said. In this story, Anna givens me a very deep impressive, so she was my favorite character. There are many reasons.First, she was a rich, beautiful and famous movies star, but she wasn’t an arrogant or prideful one. Second, a famous movies star who shows his love with an ordinary man and falling in love with him, her bravery was admirable. I really like her sincerity and truthfulness. The most important thing, this character was a vividly drawn one, Anna wasn’t always perfect; also, she did rude thing. For example, when the reporters and photographers full of the street out of William home,  she shouted with William and said some words to hurt her lover. 
In summary, I enjoyed this story; moreover, I’d like to see happy ending. I think I will recommend this book to my friend, who was disappointed in love; then, I am going to tell him, “Don’t worry about that, you will be next William, maybe a girl who likes Anna is waiting for you now.”

The Emperor's New Clothes

 

When I was a child, I liked to read the story of Emperor's New Clothes in Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales, the fairy tale was so interesting. It’s talked about an Emperor who wasn’t a good Emperor. He didn’t care anything except his new clothes. One day, two swindlers who calling themselves weavers. They made amazing clothes for the emperor and earned a lot of money from it. They said，"If the emperor wore such a suit of clothes,who couldn't see , the person is stupid or unfit for his post." Unfortunately, nobody wanted to be a person like that ones, so the emperor and other people said they could see the cloth and praised that was a Magnificent, Excellent and Exquisite one. In fact, the emperor didn’t wear anything and they couldn’t see anything; however, nobody expose the lie, the clothes means nothing. Interestingly, one fine day, the Emperor wore his “new clothes”, at the head of the great procession. All the people standing by and at the windows cheered and cried, "How well the clothes fit!" Ironically, a little child suddenly shouted, "But he hasn't got anything on."

This story tought me to be honest and not to be vain. I am going to read this story for my children in the future.

My Favorite Transportation

  My favorite way to travel is airplane, I have many reasons that why I think airplane is the best choice. First, airplane with great speed; it can save time, so I don’t need waste much time on the way. Second, I don’t need to worry about traffic jam; the airplane almost always on time. Third, airplane has a duty-free shop, so I can spend my waiting-times to shopping, also I can buy idea gifts for my friends and my relatives, such as cosmetic products, electronic products and others; the price is frequently lower than mall.

 

I think airplane has many advantages; however, many people doesn’t like airplane, they think the price of airplane is expensive than another transportation; more over, it usually be influenced by the weather.

In summary, I don’t care about disadvantages of airplane; I’d like to travel by airplane, because the advantages more than balance the disadvantage. What do you think?

My Favorite Season

  The winter will start, I have no idea about the winter in Calgary, but I think it will be cold than my hometown, so I should buy heavy coats, warm shoes and Gloves. I don’t like winter, but I am looking forward the winter in Calgary. I’m not crazy, I just want to enjoy the fine snow scene, because it is hard to see snowy mountain and frozen rive in my hometown;
 Also, I can lean how to snowboard and skate. It will be a mazing, but my favorite season is still a spring, I have many reasons. First, spring is a beautiful season.     
 
the trees come into leaf and the flowers always bloom in spring. Second, the weather is nice. It's neither hot nor cold, so you can feel comfortable. The most important things, we have a big festal in this season, which is a Chinese new year. We have a long vacation, so we can take a good rest. In spring I’d like to go to village for picnic, my friends and I can enjoy natural beauty and breathe a fresh air.
   In summary ,  I like spring time best of all.

If You Don't Want to be a Victim

Calgary is a safe city, the crime rate is lower than another city in Western Canada; in addition, is safer than my hometown, so I don't worry that someone will hurt me in Calgary. But now I think I should change my mind, because we never know what will happen. If you don't want to be the victim of a crime, you should know how to protect yourself. I suggest the following: Firstly, you should live as harmoniously as possible with everyone else, keep out of quarrel. Secondly, you should beware of strangers. Please don’t open the door to strangers, it isn’t safe, and don’t go out alone at night. Finally, remember the local emergency telephone numbers: police, ambulance and fire; if you’re the victim of mugging, please calm down and care yourself. Don't worry about your money or property, just run away from the mugger as soon as possible.
In summary, if you don't want to be a victim, you should know how to protect yourself.

Spring Festival

   The Spring Festival is the most important Festival in China, it’s to celebrate the lunar calendar’s New Year and there are many traditions in Spring Festival.

In the evening before the spring festival, families get together and have a big meal, dumplings are the most traditional food in north china, however, in south china many people prefer spring roll. When we finished the dinner, many people like to set off firecrackers, but it's not allowed in some big cities.

    Do you know who likes the Spring Festival very much? Of course children like the festival very much, because they can have delicious food, wear new clothes, watch excellent performance and can get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck .People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good fortune .    

 The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days. People visit relatives and friends with the words “Have all your wishes ”.  People enjoy the Spring Festival, during this time they can have a good rest . 
    In conclusion, we like the Spring Festival very much.

If I won $10 million in the lottery

If I won $10 million in the lottery,all the dream will come true.
  First,I think it is necessary to elevate the living standards,I want to buy a beautiful cottage, a car and a private jet for my family.

Then, I will travel around the world with my family , enjoy interesting place and delicious food.

Next, I will intend to donate some of the money to charities.a lot of people was lost their home for natural disaster,their children can’t get good education,so I want to help them to rebuild their homeland.

Finally,I will put some money in a legitimate business in order to make more money.

In conclusion,money is a good thing,I hope I just won $10 million in the lottery, that is a true.

Hi, everyone, I think Hangzhou is the best place to live in my country.

Hangzhou is located in northern Zhejiang province, eastern China, is one of the important tourim citise in china. It's famous for its natural beauty, and it has a beautiful tide, lakes and rivers. In 13 century, when Marco polo came to Hangzhou, he declared it to be “the most beautiful an elegant city in the word.so ,I think you will enjoy that view,such as West Lake,HeFang street and LingYin temple.

Hangzhou have a long history.4700years ago ,the human being had lived  in this area.so if you live there,you will learn something about Chinese history and culture.also,you can visit classical street to buy some special silk and enjoy local traditional food,such as Longjin tea, West lake vinegared fish and so on.

Many people think China is over crowed,but in Hangzhou you don’t have to worried about that because it has a lot of space.also,the transportation is convenient,for example ,if you want to go to shanghai,it costs 1 hour by train,its so fast.
